Nippon Safes, Inc. is this weird little Amiga adventure game where you play as three totally different characters—a safecracker, a boxer, and a dancer—each with their own ridiculous storyline set in Tokyo. You pick who to start with, and honestly, I went with Donna first because, well, "sexy club dancer" sounded like the most chaotic option. (I was right.)
The whole thing feels like a comic book with its bright, cartoony art and an interface that’s just icons—no words. You’ll poke around the same areas with all three characters, but their stories and puzzles are completely different. Doug’s all about cracking safes (obviously), Dino solves problems by punching things, and Donna… well, let’s just say her methods involve more charm than brute force.
It’s got that over-the-top Italian humor, so expect dumb jokes and absurd situations rather than serious crime drama. Once you finish all three stories, they team up for a finale that’s as ridiculous as the rest of the game. If you like point-and-click adventures that don’t take themselves seriously, this one’s a hidden gem.
