Nippon Safes, Inc. is this weirdly charming Amiga adventure where you play as three totally different characters—one at a time—trying to pull off a heist in Tokyo. There’s Doug, the safecracker with more brains than brawn; Dino, a boxer who hits hard but thinks slow; and Donna, a dancer who’s way sharper than people give her credit for. Each has their own story, so you’ll see the same locations from totally different angles depending on who you’re playing.
The art’s got this exaggerated comic book style, and the interface is all icons—kinda clunky by today’s standards, but it adds to the game’s quirky personality. And yeah, it’s definitely more comedy than serious crime drama. The humor’s very… Italian, let’s say. Not everyone’s gonna get it, but if you dig weird little details (like Dino accidentally punching himself), it’s a good time.
Best part? Once you finish all three stories, they team up for a finale. It’s janky, it’s silly, and somehow that’s why it works.
