Your main goal is to rescue your fellow creatures from a grim fate, which involves navigating side-scrolling stages, solving environmental puzzles, and using each character's unique abilities, like Munch's sonar or Abe's possession chant. The gameplay centers on careful exploration, avoiding or outsmarting enemies rather than fighting them directly, and herding rescued Mudokons and Fuzzles to safety.
