Play Offensive Online
You pick Allies or Axis, then fight through quick WWII battles where terrain decides everything—tanks rule open fields but crawl through forests, artillery takes forever to move, and one hidden gun can ruin your day.

Offensive was part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection released in 1996 by Ocean of America, Inc. It arrived during a period when strategy titles were gaining traction on home computers, offering a focused take on tactical warfare without the complexity of larger simulations. The game presents a straightforward approach to its subject, placing players directly into the action with minimal setup or narrative pretense.
You command either Allied or Axis forces across a series of World War II scenarios, directing infantry, tanks, and artillery across grid-based maps. The primary goal is to eliminate enemy units or capture key positions. Terrain plays a decisive role; tanks dominate open fields but slow to a crawl in forests, while artillery units deal heavy damage but require careful positioning due to their sluggish movement. One misplaced unit or overlooked enemy emplacement can quickly turn the tide against you. The pacing is deliberate, demanding patience and foresight rather than rapid clicks. It feels like a tense game of chess where every move carries weight and the environment is your most unpredictable opponent.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
