Operation C is like someone took the chaotic energy of Contra and crammed it into a Game Boy cartridge. You’re basically a one-person army blasting through waves of enemies, grabbing weapon upgrades that make your firepower absolutely ridiculous—especially the Spread Gun, which starts as a solid wall of bullets and somehow gets wider if you’re lucky enough to find another upgrade.
It’s short—just five levels—but two of them switch to this weird top-down view that feels like a throwback to Super C. There’s also this guy called Black Viper who shows up (apparently he’s a big deal later in the series, but here he’s just another thing to shoot at). The jumping bits can be janky, and the bosses are the usual "dodge this pattern for 30 seconds" affair, but that’s part of the charm. If you’ve got 20 minutes and a craving for pure, unfiltered run-and-gun chaos, this’ll do the trick.
