Operation Carnage came out in 1993 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, a time when straightforward action titles were common. It was developed by a small team whose name doesn't ring many bells today, but the game fits right in with the era's no-frills, high-challenge design philosophy.

You control a lone soldier dropped into hostile territory, moving room by room through maze-like levels. Your goal is simply to survive and eliminate every enemy on each screen before advancing. The core mechanics are simple: you run, you shoot, and you pick up better weapons scattered around the environment. Enemies spawn quickly and attack from all sides, demanding constant movement and sharp reflexes. It feels frantic and unforgiving, a pure test of speed and aim under pressure.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
