Out of This World came out on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1992, developed by Delphine Software. It was part of that wave of early 90s games that tried to do something different, using cinematic presentation and a heavy focus on physics and animation to tell its story. It didn't look or play like much else on the console at the time.

You control Lester, a physicist thrown into a hostile alien landscape. Your main goal is simply to survive and find a way home. The gameplay is built on screen by screen exploration, solving environmental puzzles that often require precise timing, and making quick decisions about when to fight or run. The pacing is deliberate, and the difficulty is unforgiving; mistakes are punished instantly, forcing you to learn from each death. Playing it feels like navigating an interactive, and often brutal, sci-fi short story.
