Game Overview

P.O.W. on the Amiga is basically Operation Wolf with a jungle twist. You’re blasting through enemy territory to rescue captured soldiers, and it gets intense fast—especially when tanks and helicopters start rolling in. The side-scrolling action keeps you on edge, and accidentally shooting civilians (oops) actually matters, which adds some tension.

Jungles, swamps, prison camps—each stage throws something new at you. I remember the bridge level being brutal because everything moves quicker there. You start with just a machine gun, but grabbing those floating ammo and health pickups feels like a lifesaver when rockets start flying. The difficulty ramps up nicely, though the hardest setting is no joke.

It’s straightforward but satisfying if you’re into light-gun chaos. Just don’t expect mercy from the later levels.
