Game Overview

Pac-Man - Special Colour Edition on the Game Boy Color is basically the arcade classic, but somehow even more satisfying in your hands. The ghosts look fantastic in color—Blinky’s red actually feels menacing now—and those mazes are just as tense as you remember. I love how the GBC screen makes the pellets glow, like little neon breadcrumbs leading you to disaster.

It’s got all the original mazes, but there’s a twist: some new layouts and challenges that’ll trip you up if you’re too confident. First time I played, I got cocky and got wrecked by Pinky in a corner I swore was safe. Classic Pac-Man move.

Perfect for quick sessions when you’re waiting around, or if you just need that old-school rush. The sound effects are still weirdly satisfying, too—that wakka-wakka never gets old. If you’ve got a Game Boy Color lying around, this one’s a no-brainer.
