Panel de Pon is that colorful SNES puzzle game where you swap tiles to match three or more—basically the granddad of all those match-3 games you see now. The Japanese version has these cute fairy characters instead of the Yoshi-themed reskin we got overseas. At first it feels simple, just flipping blocks to clear the screen, but then the speed ramps up and suddenly you're frantically trying to set up chain reactions before the stack crushes you. The music's weirdly catchy too, in that 16-bit way. It holds up way better than it has any right to.
