Game Overview

Pang Amiga came out in 1991, developed by Mitchell Corporation and published by Ocean Software. It was one of those games that felt right at home on the Amiga, a system known for its strong arcade ports and colorful action titles. The premise was simple, but it stood out because of how clean and responsive it felt compared to many other games of the time.

You control a hunter who moves left and right at the bottom of the screen, aiming a harpoon gun upward to pop bouncing bubbles that fill each stage. The main goal is to clear each screen of all bubbles without getting hit. The bubbles split into smaller, faster versions when shot, so you have to manage the space carefully as they multiply. Power-ups occasionally drop, like a faster harpoon or a temporary shield, which help you survive the increasingly chaotic patterns. The pacing is fast, and the difficulty ramps up quickly, demanding quick reflexes and smart positioning. It feels tense and satisfying when you finally clear a tricky stage.
