You control the paperboy on his bicycle, pedaling down a suburban street. Your goal is simple: throw newspapers at the correct houses while avoiding obstacles like cars, breakdancers, and angry dogs. You aim with the D-pad and throw with a button, judging distance and timing to hit porches and avoid windows. Each day presents new hazards and a slightly altered route, and the difficulty ramps up quickly as obstacles multiply and your margin for error shrinks. It feels frantic and oddly satisfying when you nail a perfect throw or narrowly dodge disaster.
