Play Pengo (Pango) Online
You're a little penguin shoving ice blocks to crush Sno-Bees, but they keep hatching from hidden eggs—miss one and suddenly the music speeds up as they swarm you.

Pengo, released by Sega in 1983 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, was one of those early arcade-style experiences that felt right at home on the PC. It arrived during a time when simple, maze-based action games were common, and it stood out with its clean visuals and straightforward premise. You didn't need a manual to understand what was going on; the screen told you everything.
You control a penguin named Pengo, navigating a maze of ice blocks while fending off Sno-Bee enemies. The main goal is to survive by crushing these foes between sliding ice blocks, all while collecting diamonds for bonus points. Key mechanics include pushing rows of blocks to squash enemies or create paths, and you can also stun Sno-Bees temporarily by kicking them. The pacing is relentless; if you leave any Sno-Bee eggs unbroken, they hatch and the music accelerates, signaling a more dangerous swarm. It feels tense and rewarding when you clear a screen just before being overwhelmed.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
