Peter Jackson's King Kong on DS is way more intense than I expected—you start off as Jack, scrambling through Skull Island’s jungles while creatures literally burst out of the foliage. The first-person sections feel claustrophobic in the best way, especially when you’re fumbling with torches to keep those giant bugs at bay.
Then there’s Kong himself. Swapping to him mid-game and just wrecking dinosaurs with bare fists never gets old, even if the controls take a second to click. The graphics push the DS hard—some of the foggy jungle scenes actually look eerie, not just pixelated.
Fair warning: the difficulty spikes hard when the raptors show up. But that panic of hearing screeches before something lunges at you? Weirdly fun.
