Game Overview

Phantasie on the Amiga is one of those old-school RPGs that feels like a mix of Wizardry and its own weird little world. You start by putting together a party—fighters, thieves, mages, the usual—but what I love is how alive the world feels. The Black Knights are terrorizing towns, demanding sacrifices, and you’re just some ragtag group trying to stop them. No pressure, right?

Dungeons are these tense, top-down crawls where every step could mean a fight, and combat’s got this neat twist where you pick attack styles (thrust, slash, etc.). Oh, and there’s a bank. Sounds boring, but when you’re lugging around piles of gold after a dungeon dive, it’s weirdly satisfying to stash it somewhere safe. Nikademus won’t know what hit him when you’re done.
