Picross NP Vol. 4 is one of those late-era SNES games that flew under the radar unless you were subscribed to Nintendo Power in Japan. It's classic picross—you know, those logic puzzles where you fill in squares based on row and column numbers to reveal a hidden image. This one ditches the Egyptian theme from Mario's Super Picross for a cleaner, pen-and-paper look, though it does have way fewer puzzles.
The coolest part? All the hidden pictures are Star Fox 64 characters and ships. You'll be carefully shading squares for what feels like forever, then suddenly realize you've been reconstructing Fox McCloud's face this whole time. The grid sizes ramp up nicely, though some of the later puzzles get seriously tricky if you're not paying attention to those tiny numbers.
It's not the deepest picross game out there, but there's something satisfying about unlocking pixel art of the Arwing or Wolfen. Just don't expect any fancy extras—this is pure, no-frills grid-solving.
