Game Overview
Picross NP Vol. 7 is one of those late-era SNES games that flew under the radar unless you were subscribed to Nintendo Power in Japan. It’s classic picross—you know, those logic puzzles where you fill in squares based on grid numbers until a hidden image pops out. This one’s got a Wario Land 2 theme, so expect some goofy Wario faces and treasure chests to uncover.
It’s basically the same engine as Mario’s Super Picross, just stripped down to bare essentials—no fancy Egyptian theming here, just straight-up grid puzzles. There are fewer puzzles than the Mario version, but the Wario sprites add some charm. If you’ve played any picross before, you’ll feel right at home tapping away at these.
Fair warning: it’s in Japanese, but the puzzles themselves don’t need translation. Just grab a stylus (or your finger) and start filling squares.
