Pieces is this weirdly addictive SNES puzzle game that mashes up Tetris and jigsaws—you’re dropping shaped puzzle pieces onto outlines to complete images, but with a timer breathing down your neck. At first, it feels like a chill solo puzzle thing, but then you realize the real fun is in the multiplayer mode where up to five people can take turns scrambling to outpace each other. The computer’s no slouch either, especially when it starts throwing power-ups like the "Sweeper" at you, wiping out half your progress in one move.

There’s a decent variety of puzzles too—sports, landmarks, that kind of thing—with each one getting bigger (and way more stressful) as you go from 36 to 60 pieces. The difficulty settings actually matter here; crank it up, and suddenly you’re sweating over a 60-piece puzzle of the Eiffel Tower while your friend cackles in the background. It’s way more chaotic than your average jigsaw, and that’s what makes it fun.
