Game Overview

Planet Soccer came out in 1994 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, published by Electronic Zoo. It was one of those straightforward soccer games you'd load up on a beige box monitor, a simple distraction in an era before 3D acceleration and sprawling career modes. The graphics were basic, the sound was tinny, and it knew exactly what it was: a quick kickabout.

You control a single player on a small, top-down field, using the keyboard to run, pass, and shoot. The main objective is to outscore the opposing team within a short time limit. Signature mechanics include the ability to perform slide tackles to dispossess opponents and a powerful, if somewhat unpredictable, long-range shot that sends the ball sailing. The pacing is frantic, with constant back-and-forth action and a difficulty that spikes sharply against the computer's goalie. It feels like a frantic, low-resolution scrap where every goal feels earned through sheer persistence.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
