Play Plants Vs. Zombies (EU) Online
You plant sunflowers and peashooters to fend off waves of zombies, from slow shamblers to pole-vaulters, while scrambling to spend sunlight wisely before they reach your house. The touchscreen makes planting fast, though sometimes you panic-tap when a buckethead lumbers in.
Plants vs. Zombies for the Nintendo DS came out in 2011, developed by PopCap Games. It was a solid handheld version of the tower defense game that a lot of people already knew from computers, and it fit right in with the DS library of pick-up-and-play titles. The dual screens and stylus controls made it feel like a natural fit for the system.
You control a lineup of plants, each with unique abilities, and place them on a grid to stop zombies from reaching the left side of the screen. The main goal is to survive each wave, earning sun points to buy more plants and strategically choosing which ones to deploy. Key mechanics include managing limited space, timing sun production, and adapting to new zombie types as they appear. The pacing is steady but can get frantic in later levels, especially when special zombies show up. It feels satisfying to set up a perfect defense and watch everything work together.
