Pokémon Black 2 is basically the beefed-up sequel to Black, and it’s got way more going on than you’d expect. You start in a new town with a fresh rival, but the map’s familiar—just packed with new areas, hidden grottos, and way more Pokémon from older gens popping up early. The first gym leader’s a flying-type specialist, which is rough if you picked Snivy like I did.
They added this "Pokéstar Studios" minigame where you film cheesy movies with your Pokémon, and honestly? It’s weirdly fun. The story ties back to the first game—Team Plasma’s still around, but now they’re split between fanatics and guys who regret everything. The animated sprites make battles feel livelier, and there’s a hard mode if you hate yourself. Just watch out for the ice gym. That one’s brutal.
