Right from the start, you’ll notice little details, like how the starter choices aren’t the usual three, or how the first town’s layout makes way more sense now. The sprites have this subtle glow to them, almost like someone remastered the GBA’s color palette without overdoing it.
Battles feel familiar but unpredictable—some gym leaders have completely new teams, and wild Pokémon spawns keep you on your toes.
