Pokémon Meowth (Blue Hack) is one of those weird little rom hacks that just gets why people still love Gen 1. Instead of playing as some random kid from Pallet Town, you're either Meowth or stuck with one early—either way, prepare for way too many coin puns and some surprisingly clever rewrites of classic dialogue. Pay Day actually feels useful for once, and yeah, you'll probably end up with way too much cash from spamming it on wild Rattatas.
It's still the same Kanto you remember, just... slightly off, like someone replaced all the NPCs with Team Rocket grunts who won't stop talking about their weird cat obsession. The charm's in the little things—like how certain battles play out differently when you're literally a Pokémon trying to fight trainers. Not gonna lie, the first time I got stuck because I forgot Meowth can't use Poké Balls normally, I had to reset. Worth it.
If you've played Blue a hundred times and want something that feels familiar but just bizarre enough to keep you grinning, this is the hack for you. Just don't blame me when you start hissing at actual Meowths in later games.
