Pokemon Turquoise is one of those GBA ROM hacks that feels familiar but still has its own vibe. The first thing you notice is the color palette - everything's got this cool blue-green tint, like you're playing underwater even when you're not.
Early game gives you some unusual starter options, which was nice after playing the official games so much. I remember getting stuck for like twenty minutes trying to find the second gym leader - they hide them in weird places sometimes. The wild encounters feel balanced, not too grindy but you still need to put in some work.
