The hack adjusts type effectiveness, rebalances enemy teams, and reduces unnecessary random encounters, letting you focus on strategy rather than repetition. Pacing feels more consistent, with fewer abrupt difficulty spikes, and your partner Pikachu follows you faithfully throughout. It captures the spirit of the first generation while removing many of the frustrations that aged poorly.
