Power Rangers Zeo: Battle Racers came out for the Super Nintendo in 1996, published by Bandai. It was one of those late-era SNES games that tried to do something a little different with a license, in this case turning the team-based action of the show into a top-down racing game. It definitely has that mid-90s feel, with bright colors and digitized sprites that were common at the time.

You choose one of the five Zeo Rangers and race through Angel Grove on what feels like a futuristic hoverboard. The main goal is simple: finish first. You’ll be swerving around obstacles like monster attacks, using a limited supply of special weapons to slow down opponents, and trying not to wipe out on the many sharp corners. The controls are slippery, making drifting around turns a constant challenge rather than a precise skill. It’s a fast, chaotic experience that captures the silly energy of the TV show perfectly.
