Game Overview

Pro Mahjong Kiwame 64 is one of those N64 deep cuts—a proper, no-nonsense mahjong sim that doesn’t hold your hand. The second you boot it up, you’re hit with that classic tile-clicking sound and a surprisingly slick 3D table. No frills, just straight into the game.

The AI doesn’t mess around either. Even if you know your way around mahjong, some of these opponents will wipe the floor with you if you’re not paying attention. I lost three rounds in a row before realizing one of the CPU players had a tell—they’d pause just a second longer before discarding certain tiles. Sneaky.

It’s got that late ‘90s N64 charm too—blocky but detailed character models, dramatic zoom-ins when someone declares a win, and this weirdly satisfying clack when you place a tile. If you’re into mahjong and somehow still have your N64 hooked up, this one’s a solid time sink.
