Game Overview
Project-X_Disk2 came out on the Amiga in 1992, developed by Team17 and published by Psygnosis. It was a time when the Amiga was full of shooters, and this one was a direct follow-up, offering more of what players of the original expected: a tough, horizontal-scrolling challenge with a focus on upgrading your ship through each stage.
You pilot a spacecraft through five levels, shooting down waves of enemy ships and dodging their fire. The main goal is to survive to the end of each stage and defeat the large boss waiting there. You collect power-ups to change your main weapon, choosing between options like plasma, lasers, or rapid-fire shots; other pickups improve your speed, add homing missiles, or grant a temporary super-blast. The game allows auto-fire and gives you continues up to level three, which helps with the high difficulty. It feels fast and demanding, requiring quick reflexes and smart weapon choices to make progress.
