You control a five player roller hockey team, skating up and down a sport court to shoot a puck into the opponent's net. The main objective is to outscore the other team within three periods, but the gameplay quickly shifts into a physical, often brutal contest. Signature mechanics include body checking opponents with such force that they tumble and slide across the ground, and firing slap shots that travel at an unrealistically high speed, making the puck difficult to track. The pacing is frantic, and the difficulty can feel punishing as the computer controlled teams capitalize on every mistake.
