Riding Hero came out on the Neo Geo in 1990, published by SNK. It was one of the early titles for the system, a time when arcade-style brawlers and racers were common, and this game tried to blend both. You control a biker who rides through side-scrolling stages, punching rival riders to knock them off their motorcycles. The main goal is to reach the end of each stage while fighting off these enemies. Signature mechanics include the ability to punch opponents during high-speed chases, the risk of being knocked off your own bike if you take too many hits, and occasional jumps over obstacles or gaps. The pacing is fast and the difficulty can feel unforgiving, with aggressive enemies and tight timing. It feels like a chaotic, slightly clumsy brawl on wheels where every successful punch delivers a solid thud.
