Key mechanics include screen-by-screen exploration that occasionally opens into larger, multi-path areas, upgrading your Diskarmor for greater reach and power, and navigating both above-ground territories and brief interior dungeons. The game can feel aimless and punishing at times, with its non-linear structure demanding a good memory for locations. Pushing through its challenges and slowly mapping the world in your head delivers a real sense of hard-won progress.
