Saboten Bombers is this weirdly charming arcade game where you play as a cactus—yes, a cactus—armed with bouncing bombs. The goal? Clear each screen of enemies by tossing explosives that ricochet around like they’ve got a mind of their own. Mess up and you’ll get caught in the blast, losing a life but leaving behind a ring that wipes out every enemy if you grab it when you respawn.
Enemies drop little goodies when defeated, and collecting enough cake slices earns you an extra life. But watch out—some of them shoot back, and one hit costs you a life too. Things get chaotic fast, especially when you’re dodging your own bombs mid-jump.
Stage 5 throws a curveball: if you’re playing co-op, you suddenly have to fight your partner in a sudden-death spiked ball showdown. One hit decides the winner. And by Stage 10, you’re up against a massive boss that’ll test everything you’ve learned. Lose all your lives, and it’s game over—though you can continue right where you left off.
It’s simple, frantic, and just the right amount of ridiculous.
