Oh man, Sakura Taisen GB2—this was my secret obsession back when I carried a Game Boy Color everywhere. It's basically the full Sakura Taisen experience crammed into a tiny cartridge: steampunk mechs, turn-based battles, and those dramatic character moments the series is known for. I remember being surprised at how well they pulled it off on the GBC's tiny screen.
The combat's simpler than the console versions, but in a good way—you're still positioning your mechs carefully, timing attacks, and occasionally panicking when enemies flank you. And somehow they made the characters' personalities shine through even with the limited graphics. That first time Sakura charges in with her signature move? Still gives me chills.
It's definitely a niche pick these days, but if you ever played the main games or just love tactical RPGs with personality, this one's worth tracking down. The cartridge still lives in my old GBC case, battery probably dead but memories intact.
