Two mechanics define the experience: an infection meter that rises with each hit, pushing you to avoid damage, and a dual weapon system that switches between a close-range blade and a long-range gun. The pacing is deliberate, with careful resource management and frequent backtracking under pressure. It feels tense and methodical, balancing combat and exploration with a constant threat hanging over your head.
