Play Septentrion (Japan) Online
You're scrambling through a sinking cruise ship, solving janky puzzles as water rises—no do-overs, just panic and pixel-perfect drowning. That eerie soundtrack sticks with you long after you ragequit.

Septentrion is one of those weird, tense SNES gems that doesn’t get talked about enough. You’re stuck on a sinking cruise ship—the Lady Crithania—and the water’s rising fast. No fancy cutscenes or hand-holding, just you scrambling through flooded hallways, solving puzzles while the clock literally ticks down. The pixel art nails that claustrophobic, "oh-crap-I’m-trapped" vibe, and the music? Unsettling in the best way.
It’s brutal in that old-school way where you’ll probably drown a few times before figuring out the right path. Some of the item puzzles feel a little random (why is there a crowbar in the ballroom?), but when you finally make it to the deck gasping for air, it’s weirdly satisfying. Definitely not for the impatient, but if you like survival games with actual stakes, this one’s a trip.
