Persona 3 Portable takes the original PS2 classic and squeezes it onto the PSP with some smart tweaks. You still balance high school life by day and dungeon crawling by night, but now you can choose a female protagonist—which changes up some social links and dialogue in fun ways. The combat’s been polished with Persona 4’s improvements, letting you control your whole party directly (no more AI teammates fumbling your strategy).

There’s new music, a couple fresh faces in the cast, and extra difficulty options if you want a smoother—or more brutal—ride. Just don’t expect the FES expansion content; no epilogue story here. It’s still one of the best ways to experience Persona 3, especially if you’re playing on the go.
