Game Overview

Shounen Ashibe: Yuuenchi Panic is one of those weird little Game Boy games that feels like it fell out of a time capsule. You play as Ashibe, a tiny seal with way too much energy, and his human buddy Takada-kun, trying to survive an amusement park that’s gone completely bonkers.

It’s basically a string of mini-games—some are about racing, others have you dodging obstacles, and a few just seem to exist to make you laugh. The controls are janky in that classic early-90s way, but it’s got this weird charm, like playing through an episode of a forgotten kids’ show. The pixel art is adorable, especially when Ashibe waddles around like he’s perpetually about to faceplant.

Don’t go in expecting deep gameplay—it’s more of a novelty, something you’d pop in for 15 minutes when you need a break from Pokémon. But if you’ve got a soft spot for obscure licensed games or just enjoy seals causing chaos, it’s a fun little oddity.
