Play Snarf Online
You shove neon crates around maze-like levels while dodging floating... things, figuring out the rules as you go—that weird chiptune track stuck in your head the whole time.

Snarf came out in 1988 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, developed by Jerry J. Lechner. It was one of those puzzle games you'd find tucked away on a shareware disk or bundled with others, typical for the era when simple mechanics and bright colors did a lot of heavy lifting. You booted it up expecting something straightforward, but it had its own odd charm right from the start.
You control a little character, pushing brightly colored crates around single-screen mazes. The goal is to clear a path to the exit, but it's complicated by enemies that float around and reset your progress if they touch you. Each stage introduces new obstacles or crate types, forcing you to plan pushes carefully to avoid getting stuck. The game starts simple but quickly becomes demanding, with later levels requiring precise timing and foresight. It feels like a tense, methodical dance where one wrong move means starting the room over from scratch.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
