Game Overview
SNK vs. Capcom: Card Fighters DS is one of those weird little gems that makes the DS library so fun to dig through. You start off in this tower where everyone’s been brainwashed by some rogue AI—now all they care about is card battles. Your goal? Fight your way up floor by floor, taking on SNK and Capcom characters who’ve been turned into obsessive duelists.
The battles are simple but addictive—you’re matching attack and defense values, pulling off combos, and slowly building a better deck. Beating a floor unlocks the next one, but the real hook is the card collecting. There are over 300 cards, and some characters you beat will actually help you out afterward, either selling you new packs or trading. I spent way too much time hunting down rare cards just to see Ryu throw a fireball or Terry Bogard shout "OKAY!" when I played them.
It’s not the deepest card game out there, but the SNK and Capcom fan service makes it hard to put down. By the time you reach the top, you’ll have a deck stuffed with your favorite fighters.
