Game Overview

Snoball in Hell is one of those weird, frantic Amiga games that mashes up Breakout with a shoot 'em up—and somehow it works. You’re piloting this chunky little tank called the Snoball, stuck on the left side of the screen while bricks and enemies swarm in from the right. The goal? Bounce a ball to smash bricks, like classic Breakout, but you’ve also got to dodge or shoot down enemy ships trying to ram you. Miss the ball or get hit, and you lose a life. Simple, until everything starts speeding up.

What makes it fun are the power-ups (and power-downs) that float across the screen. Some give you shields or extra lives, others slow your shots or even restart the level—so you’re constantly deciding whether to risk shooting at them. The first few levels ease you in, but by level 5, it’s pure chaos. The tractor controls take a second to get used to, but once you do, it’s weirdly satisfying bouncing that ball while dodging enemy waves. Just don’t get too attached to your lives—they disappear fast.
