Play Snood (E)(Independent) Online

You fling these dopey little blobs up the screen, matching colors while their googly eyes wobble—then grin when the whole chain pops and they go bouncing everywhere. That janky charm just works.

Game Overview

Snood for the Game Boy Advance was released independently in 2000, a handheld adaptation of the original puzzle game. It arrived during a period when the GBA library was expanding with both original titles and ports of familiar PC and console games. The game carries the straightforward, no-frills style of its era, offering a clean and functional take on the match-and-clear puzzle genre.

You control a launcher at the bottom of the screen, aiming and firing Snoods—colorful creatures with simple faces—up toward a cluster of others. Your goal is to clear each screen by matching three or more Snoods of the same color; when you do, they disappear, and any disconnected Snoods above fall away. Key mechanics include the ability to store one Snood for later use and the pressure of an advancing row that slowly descends, threatening to end the game if it reaches the bottom. The pace is methodical but tense, especially in later stages where the layouts become more complex and the margin for error shrinks. It feels satisfying to set off a chain reaction and watch the screen clear piece by piece.
