Play Solus Online
Crashed on an alien rock with barely any supplies—now you're sweating over oxygen tanks and rationing food while some creepy thing scratches at your base walls. Mess up the farming system once and you'll never forget to plant seeds again.
Solus came out in 1999 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, developed by Volition. It's a game from that era when survival sims were still finding their feet, and it doesn't hold your hand. You're dropped into a harsh, lonely environment with one goal: stay alive long enough to figure a way out.
You control a stranded astronaut on a barren planet, managing oxygen levels, food supplies, and structural integrity of your base. The main objective is to gather resources, build necessary equipment, and eventually repair your ship for escape. Key mechanics include careful resource rationing, base defense against alien creatures, and maintaining life support systems under constant threat. The pacing is deliberate, almost tense; every decision carries weight, and mistakes are costly. It feels like a genuine struggle against the elements, where every small victory matters.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
