Spark World is one of those weird, charming SNES games that feels like someone threw a buddy cop movie into a blender with an arcade shooter. You play as Beat and Barts, two cop cars with way too much personality, chasing down a casino owner who's secretly running a drug ring. The whole thing's ridiculous in the best way—you're basically a sentient police cruiser doing drive-by explosions by shooting fuel barrels.

The levels jump from city streets to snowy mountains, and the controls take a minute to get used to (why does drifting feel like sliding on butter?). But once you figure out the timing for those barrel explosions, it's stupidly satisfying to watch everything blow up in that classic SNES pixel-art style. The soundtrack's got this weirdly funky vibe too, like they hired a jazz band to score a car chase.

It's not the deepest game, but there's something about the sheer absurdity of playing as two talking cop cars that just works. Definitely a hidden gem if you're into quirky retro stuff.
