Play Spider-Man - Battle For New York (U)(Rising Sun) Online

Swing between buildings as Spidey or wreck everything as Green Goblin—two totally different ways to brawl through NYC, with Doc Ock crashing the party. Those pixelated web swings and pumpkin bomb explosions still feel great.

Game Overview

Spider-Man: Battle for New York came out on the Game Boy Advance in 2006, developed by Vicarious Visions. It was part of that wave of handheld tie-ins that tried to capture the feel of bigger console games, with a focus on straightforward action and comic-inspired storytelling. The game lets you play through two campaigns, one as Spider-Man and another as the Green Goblin, offering different perspectives on the same conflict.

You control either hero through side-scrolling levels, fighting thugs and super villains across New York. The main goal is to stop Doctor Octopus, but how you do it depends on who you’re playing. Spider-Man relies on web-swinging and acrobatic combos, while Green Goblin uses his glider and explosive pumpkin bombs to clear paths. The action is fast and often challenging, with enemy patterns that demand quick reflexes. It feels responsive and punchy, especially when you land a satisfying combo or narrowly dodge an attack.
