Play Spider-Man : Battle for New York Online
Swing between buildings as Spidey or smash through traffic as Green Goblin—both feel great, and switching between them keeps things fresh. The combat's simple but satisfying, especially when you upgrade their moves.

Spider-Man: Battle for New York came out on Game Boy Advance in 2006, developed by Vicarious Visions. It was one of those licensed games that actually tried to do something interesting on the handheld, back when movie tie-ins were a real mixed bag. You get to play through a story from both Spider-Man's and Green Goblin's perspectives, which wasn't all that common at the time.
You control either Spider-Man or Green Goblin, each with their own moves and levels. Spider-Man swings and uses web attacks, while Green Goblin flies on his glider and throws pumpkin bombs. The main goal is to stop the other character's plans, fighting through side-scrolling stages filled with thugs and mini-bosses. You explore areas screen by screen, beat up enemies to gain experience, and unlock new abilities for both heroes and villains. The pacing is fairly quick, and the difficulty can spike during boss fights. It feels responsive and straightforward, a solid action game that makes good use of the dual character premise.
