Spore Hero Arena is one of those DS games that makes you wish the touchscreen was bigger—but in a good way. You start by frankensteining your own creature, slapping on limbs, spikes, or wings like some kind of mad scientist. I spent way too long making mine look like a grumpy turtle with horns.
The fights are chaotic in that charming DS-era 3D way. You’re rolling around arenas, chomping or blasting opponents with whatever weird abilities you’ve unlocked. Half the fun is seeing how your creature changes as it evolves—mine went from wobbly loser to a tanky monstrosity that could belly-flop enemies into oblivion.
It’s not the deepest fighter, but there’s something satisfying about watching your janky creation finally start winning matches. Just don’t expect it to hold up against proper fighting games—this is pure silly creature-brawling fun.
