Sports Illustrated Championship Football & Baseball is one of those SNES sports games that tries to do a bit of everything. You get both football and baseball in one cart, which is nice if you can't decide between throwing spirals or fastballs.
The football side feels pretty basic—you pick a team, run through a season, and try not to fumble every other play (seriously, the controls take some getting used to). But there’s something satisfying about calling audibles and watching your little pixelated QB scramble for his life. Meanwhile, baseball’s where it shines a bit more—pitching actually feels strategic, and there’s something weirdly addictive about timing a perfect home run swing. The diving catches? Pure chaos, but in a fun way.
It’s not the deepest sports sim, but if you’re nostalgic for mid-90s SNES jock vibes, it’s a decent time killer.
