Game Overview
Battlefront II on PSP takes everything that made the first game great and cranks it up—more maps, more heroes, and way more chaos. You’re not just stuck with grunt soldiers this time; suddenly you’re slicing through droids as Yoda or choking rebels as Vader, which feels as ridiculous (and fun) as it sounds.
The single-player campaign’s a neat twist, too—you play as the 501st Legion, basically watching the Clone Wars turn into the Empire’s rise from the inside. But the real magic happens in space battles. Dodging lasers in a TIE Fighter while trying to take down a Mon Calamari cruiser never gets old, especially when you realize you can just land inside the thing and blow it up manually. Classic Star Wars nonsense.
It’s still very much a PSP game—don’t expect modern graphics—but for quick, portable Star Wars mayhem, it holds up surprisingly well. Just try not to get too trigger-happy when you finally unlock the Emperor’s lightning.
