Play Starwing (Germany) Online
You pilot a chunky polygonal ship through chaotic space battles, dodging asteroids and blasting monkey mechs while the SNES struggles to keep up. That janky 90s 3D somehow makes barrel rolls more satisfying.

Starwing, known as Star Fox in other regions, came out for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1993. It was developed by Nintendo and Argonaut Software, and it stood out as one of the few games on the platform to use the Super FX chip for polygonal 3D graphics. At the time, it felt like a glimpse into the future of gaming, even if the hardware showed its limits.
You control Fox McCloud from a behind-the-ship perspective, flying through obstacle-filled corridors and engaging enemy fighters and larger bosses. Your main goal is to navigate each stage, defeat all hostile forces, and survive until the end. Key mechanics include locking onto multiple targets to unleash a spread of lasers, performing a quick barrel roll to deflect incoming fire, and occasionally switching to all-range mode for open arena dogfights. The pacing is fast and demanding, with later levels requiring sharp reflexes and memorization. Despite the technical constraints, the game delivers a genuine sense of speed and tactical aerial combat.
