Street Fighter II Turbo came to the Game Boy Advance in 1994, developed and published by Capcom. It was one of the more ambitious fighting game ports for the handheld at the time, squeezing a lot of the arcade experience into a smaller screen. The game arrived during a period when portable systems were starting to handle more complex, action-heavy titles without too many compromises.
You choose from a roster of fighters like Ryu or Chun-Li and face opponents one-on-one across global stages. The main goal is to deplete your rival's health bar using normal attacks, special moves, and super combos. Signature mechanics include charging special moves by holding directions and tapping buttons, executing combos by chaining attacks quickly, and activating a faster "turbo" mode for increased speed. Matches are fast and demand quick reactions; the difficulty can spike sharply against later opponents. It feels responsive and tense, especially when you land a well-timed combo to finish a round.
